AmeriHome, a fast-growing mortgage company, is seeking to fill the role of Capital Markets Operations Manager in our Westlake Village HQ office. The Capital Markets group is responsible for the pricing, hedging, trading, and delivery of the company's mortgage loans. The Capital Markets Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the staff performing the mortgage loan delivery process and will be given the unique opportunity to interact with all departments of the company. Through this role, the candidate will not only gain and further develop their understanding of the various departments' roles and responsibilities but will also be responsible for developing team members, design and implement process improvements, play a key role in contributing to implementation of departmental and company strategies, leading towards continued professional growth in a dynamic organization. The candidate should be a college graduate who is highly motivated, organized and can work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment to support the mortgage loan delivery process.

What we are looking for:

What you will do:

• Manager will further develop their strong understanding of mortgage capital markets, including all aspects of loan sales, issuance of mortgage-backed securities, margining, and trade settlements.

• Manage a team of analysts responsible for executing and completing the teams' daily responsibilities, including developing analytical reports using tools such as SQL, VBA, Python and C #.

• Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of loans to the GSEs, including verifying eligibility with investor guidelines, reviewing loan sale data for accuracy and completeness, and ensuring all necessary releases from interested parties are obtained.

• Represent the department in meetings and on project teams dealing with departmental and company initiatives including process improvements and new product development.

• Interact closely with the Trading Desk to address any issues with mortgage loan allocations and trades to ensure prompt resolution of issues and timely settlements.

• Ensure all trades are confirmed and oversee the communication with broker dealers to ensure trade discrepancies/ issues are identified and resolved timely.

• Ensure all warehouse releases are obtained and all pools are certified timely.

• Oversee the security settlement process ensuring that all DK's are resolved timely.

• Monitors all trading activities to ensure accurately recorded, allocated and settled timely, including ensuring that all positions are flattened prior to the applicable class settlement dates.

• Works with Traders, CMA and BI teams to resolve any trade discrepancies and reporting issues.

• Works closely with Treasury team and warehouse lenders to ensure timely and complete settlement of loan sale proceeds.

• Ensures the timely follow up with internal & external business partners for resolution of data and collateral defects preventing the delivery of loans.

• Prepare / review monthly management reports

What you will need:

• Bachelor's degree, in business administration, finance or related field.

• Ability to communicate with internal and external business partners clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• High level of motivation and accountability.

• Ability to multitask and adhere to firm deadlines.

• Proactive in identifying problems and opportunities for improvements.

• 5+ years of capital markets and mortgage industry experience

• 3+ years of management experience

• Strong Excel skills, including ability to summarize data via formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.

• Strong Powerpoint skills, including ability to prepare and summarize data in slides and present confidently in management.

• Strong SQL, VBA, Python and C # skills

• CFA / FRM is a plus

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $132,882.00 - $164,150.00 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
