GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: In partnership with the CEO and Chief Development Officer at Whitney Young Health, the part-time (24 hours per week) Capital Campaign Manager will support the continued development and implementation of a comprehensive capital fundraising campaign, including leadership and community phases, as well as the management of pledges, donor communications, and donor recognition when the active gift solicitation period is completed.

This position is effective April 8, 2024-December 31, 2025. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain expert familiarity of capital project needs, budgets, and priorities.

Work in conjunction with both Annual Giving Coordinator and Grant Consultant to identify, define and pursue additional funding opportunities to support the capital projects. In partnership with the Chief Development Officer, continue to develop and implement a comprehensive capital fundraising plan that will achieve campaign goals. Fully understand and communicate the campaign case for support, and work in partnership with the marketing team to support the creation of outreach materials that will resonate with major donors.

In partnership with the Chief Development Officer, lead and provide support to the Capital Campaign Steering Committee consisting of influential community leaders, board members, and leadership staff; and to the Staff sub-committee. Partner with and support WYH’s leadership with respect to donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts. Work with Annual Giving Coordinator, who manages the donor database, to ensure accurate gift/pledge tracking, acknowledgement, and reporting, as well as communications/follow-up actions with donors.

Work in conjunction with Development & Marketing Team to plan and execute any campaign related events (i.e. groundbreaking, fundraising event, community events, and grand openings). Cultivate critical partnerships with businesses and the community to achieve overall goals. Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings. Demonstrates excellence in both internal and external customer service.

Understands and is able to effectively communicate HIPAA compliance, corporate compliance and client confidentiality. Ensures and/or remains in compliance with local, state, and federal regulation, i.e. DHHS HRSA and NYSDOH, and all accreditation standards (e.g.

Joint Commission and NCQA-PCMH). Adheres to the National Patient Safety Goals as defined by the Joint Commission and Whitney M. Young Jr. Health Center.

Completes other duties as assigned. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

An Associate’s degree in Communications or Marketing with a minimum of three-five (3-5) years of Development/Fundraising experience in human services and/or health care.

In lieu of a formal degree, seven to ten (7-10) years of Development/Fundraising experience in human services and/or health care. Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and influencing skills and strong critical thinking skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field. Five (5) years of Development/Fundraising experience in human services and/or health care.
