If you are located inn the Franklin, TN Area, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business and technology teams to strategize solutions that support long term business objectives

  • Ensure IT deliverables align with business requirements with measurable results

  • Liaise between Business Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts, Engineering teams, System Architects, and Project Management groups within Optum

  • Analyze business requirements; demonstrate clear problem understanding and benefit of solution; model business operations; analyze and design solutions as part of agile software development life cycle

  • Translate business needs into actionable documentation/specifications including features, use case scenarios, process models, and user stories to support iterative development

  • Advise and support Engineering team during development cycle

  • Evaluate and present solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution

  • Consult with key stakeholders on complex systems integration issues

  • Communicate effectively with various levels of stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 2 years of experience in agile product management, preferably in a dynamic, fast-paced and high-growth organization type environment.

  • Experienced in agile software development processes and tools

  • Experience using data and metrics to justify feature priority

  • Understanding of cloud-based platforms

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Consultative and collaborative style

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous proven experience using written and verbal communication skills with various levels of management, stakeholders, and subject matter experts

  • Experience with product roadmap software, such as Aha!; and Agile software development tools such as CA Central or JIRA

  • Health care industry experience: provider, payer, medical device, pharmaceutical, or other health services is a plus

  • Certification in product management is a plus
