This career opportunity will have you working in the San Diego area with our street teams who represent Children International. You will speak with people face-to-face, educating them about and simultaneously inspiring them to become regular monthly sponsors. Using your passionate knowledge of the charity, you will help Children International obtain quality, regular, and committed monthly donors. VIEW JOBS 8/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-19T00:00 JOB SUMMARY: The Corporate & Community - Fundraiser LI is responsible for developing relationships with a core group of prospective businesses and community advocates with capacity to give/raise as defined by management; managing an active portfolio of 100-120 prospects; maintaining an active awareness of organizations/prospects in the prospect pool in various stages of identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. Fundable programs and projects include, but are not limited to, institutes, centers, endowments, programs, chairs, fellowships and capital needs. This position will work closely with supervisor to solicit corporate/individual sponsors/donors, provide guidance to third-party fundraising events, and help to coordinate cause marketing campaigns. Works closely with supervisor to expand Children's Miracle Network Hospital (CMNH) partners as assigned and/or implement community outreach strategies that may include stewardship and other activities relating to fundraising. Acts as liaison to affinity groups, physicians, hospital administrators, and other stakeholders. Maintains an active awareness of goals, objectives, and direction of the development program as a whole. Meets or exceeds department performance standards as assigned by supervisor. Creates and executes special projects as assigned by the SVP/Executive Director and/or supervisor. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree 2 years of experience CA Driver's License Proof of Auto Insurance Experience in a fundraising setting Experience with corporate/community solicitation and/or development Detail-oriented and team player Works efficiently under pressure; meets deadlines; demonstrates strategic thinking and good decision-making, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed Articulate, poised and possesses strong writing skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years of experience Ability to make frequent trips by personal vehicle between hospital buildings and donors Knowledge around Blackbaud non-profit applications IND Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego San Diego CA
