Summary

Manages sales activities of organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Visit and build relationships with the existing customers and prospective customers

  • Network and support the existing customers with available programs

  • Achieve annual sales volume and net income growth for the region

  • Provide superior customer service, integrity, and trust

  • Provide service flexibility and understanding of the customer's business and unique requirements

  • Assure the new accounts are established accurately, completely and in a timely manner

  • Maintain an autonomous regional office, where necessary, to effectively service the region

  • Write and submit annual budgets and marketing plans for the region

  • Collect marketing intelligence and adjust marketing and sales efforts accordingly

  • Build relationships with airport managers, state agencies, and industry suppliers

  • Keep accurate and easy to audit records pertaining to customer database and business expenses

  • Stay current with technical changes and continuing education when applicable

  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.

  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.

  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.

  • Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales.

  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote services.

  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients.

  • Meets with key clients, maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

  • Coordinates liaison between sales department and other departments.

  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.

  • Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.

  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aviation experience is required.

  • Must be able to travel 40% - 50% of the time.
