Job Summary:

The Retail Development Manager is accountable for being an expert and growing our retail-based product and market share through pipeline building and identifying retail data sharing opportunities. The Retail Development Manager develops and maintains respectful and collaborative relationships with clients and key individuals in relevant markets to close business and ensure an efficient on-boarding data sharing process.

Essential Functions and

  • Build a pipeline of potential retail clients in a given market

  • Identify new sales opportunities by researching potential clients

  • Develop and execute sales and marketing plans for target markets

  • Articulate and demonstrate the value of our data products and services in person, web demos, over the phone with presence and purpose

  • Ensure all outreach activities adhere to organizational sales objectives and requirements

  • Build and maintain all client information and activity in Salesforce and other sales/CRM platforms

  • Ensure that customer issues are dealt with efficiently and as needed and inform Management of significant issues

  • Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff

  • Perform work under direct supervision and is responsible for other duties as assigned

Job-related Education and/or Experience:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing or similar from an accredited institution

  • 2+ years of sales or cold prospecting customer

  • Cannabis industry experience preferred

  • Microsoft Office suite PowerPoint and Excel

Work Environment: Normal office environment

Travel: up to 50%
