High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of one year of coursework in the area(s) of sociology, psychology, communications, education, and/or child/youth development. Coursework may be replaced by demonstrated experience and training reflective of the same knowledge and abilities. Minimum of 2 years experience working directly with children and/or youth in an environment requiring excellent skills in problem identification and problem-solving, negotiation and mediation, and behavior modification and management in a collaborative environment. Live scan, First Aid/CPR Certification, pre-employment physical and TB test are required upon being hired.
