SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Director of FMPC

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Oversees the delivery & events team, campus transportation system team, student workers, and temporary employees as required. Works closely with contractors, consultants or other outside agencies employed by or associated with the institution.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Campus Services Manager is responsible for leadership, oversight, coordination and all other activities related to the execution and processes associated with the following: conference & events services support, campus transportation system, and residential housing support.

The Manager is responsible for continuous process improvement within their responsibilities; striving for best practices to improve the quality, efficiency and contributions of FMPC. This includes encouraging a high level of teamwork and collaboration both within and without the department and the University community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Point of contact for facilities related requests at events and conferences. This includes, but is not limited to, management of delivery staff (approximately two employees) and communication with Grounds Manager to ensure set up and tear down are done timely and accurately.
Provide management for after-hours conference and events services support as required. Physical hands-on work may be required.
Partner with multiple departments, including but not limited to, Conference & Event Management, Campus Police, Residential Life, etc.
Management and oversight of shuttle service staff (approximately five employees).
Maintain inventory of Moravian University owned events related equipment.
Assist with outsource/procurement management activities including event equipment rentals e.g. tables, chairs, tents, stage, toilets, etc.
Assist with the development and management of budgets, procurement and inventory processes and develop, document, negotiate and oversee contracts related to equipment rentals, staff augmentation, etc.
Screen, interview, and provide recommendations for employment of prospective employees.
Develop, plan, and oversee training activities, performance assessments, corrective procedures, and recommendations for promotions, demotions, retention or termination of employees.
May participate in committees as appropriate/needed.
Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned by the leadership of FMPC as required.
Position is considered 'essential personnel' and is required to provide administrative and management support and various other duties, as required, during and outside normal working hours including institution closures and duties related to emergencies, scheduled and unscheduled events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Baccalaureate, Technical, Trade School degree required and/or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years' experience related to event management, preferably in higher education, or non-profit administration. Combinations of degrees, experience, licensures, credentialing will be accepted.
Experience with event support operations, transportation, and delivery procedures is strongly preferred.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments are essential.
Requires strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
Experience with PC and Mac platforms; experience with work order system is preferred. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office is necessary.
A valid Pennsylvania driver's license is required.
