Position Summary

The Campus Postmaster is responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail being distributed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The results you will deliver each day that matter most!

• Mail is processed during the hours of 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM.

• Mail is separated and put into boxes assigned to each student or faculty/staff department.

• All deliveries are made to the campus mail room during the day from the office product companies (Office Depot, Office Land, Federal Express, Roadway Express, UPS, etc.). When these deliveries are received, each item is logged into the logbook and put in the mail bin for delivery or pick up.

• When packages have been ordered through Livingstone's purchasing department, a copy of the purchase order has been provided to the mail room.

• When a delivery is received, the package is checked against the copy of the purchase order, the sender's name, and the name to which the package is addressed. Once this is done, the intended receiver is notified that the package is ready for pick up or if the work study students are on duty, and depending on the size/weight of the package, it is either delivered by a work study student or the person for whom the package is intended for is notified to arrange delivery (such as maintenance, etc.)

Education/ Experience

What you will need to be successful!

• Associate/bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, or Management

• Five years' experience in related field within higher education

• Microsoft Office experience/knowledge

• Jenzabar experience/knowledge
