RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Gallery & Art Collection Specialist in managing the college's permanent art collection consisting of 600+ artworks across several campuses.
Inventory artworks: measure, identify media, research missing info, enter information into a database, basic photography, basic photo editing, file management.
Create condition reports.
Assist with installation of art exhibitions with track and cable hanging system and installation of collection art with security hardware and info placards.
Independent transportation is a plus but not mandatory.
Professionalism is a must. Applicant should be detail oriented in all aspects of the job, from cataloging information to handling the art itself.
Adhering to best practices around safe art handling is crucial. Strong written communication skills will be necessary to record accurate information with precision.
A cooperative attitude and good oral communication skills are key. The applicant will work closely with the Gallery & Art Collection Specialist.
Be open minded and ready to learn. Work will take place at different campuses so good communication will be necessary to coordinate effectively.

Registered for 9.0 credit for Fall and Spring semesters.
Registered for 6.0 credit hours for summer semester.
Participate in CIP professional development activities.
Working 15-20 per week.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
General familiarity with fine art.
Ability to enter information into a database with precision.
Familiarity with basic hand tools i.e. electric drill, level, anchors, etc.
Basic photography and photo editing.
Familiarity with Instagram and other social media.

Spanish fluency.
