Responsibilities/Duties: This individual who fills this part-time position will be responsible for the evening and weekend supervision of events and activities that are held on-campus. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring the proper set-ups ahead of the event, greeting the group leader upon arrival and monitoring all details and services related to the event, to its completion.

In addition, the individual will be responsible for the supervision of Koehneke Community Center (KCC) student staff during their shifts, as well as the physical condition and cleanliness of the Community Center itself.

Skill Sets: Interested candidates should be extremely detail- and customer service-oriented.

The ability to multi-task and calmly troubleshoot are also much-needed qualities to successfully manage the duties of the position. Computer-proficiency is an important quality for the candidate, so they are able to assist with producing room set-ups as well as signage for groups meeting on-campus. The candidate must have an engaging and welcoming personality as interaction with customers and clients will be a frequent and consistent occurrence for this position.

Education Requirements:
A minimum of an Associate's Degree or an equivalent Event Management Certification is required.

A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Previous Event Management/Hospitality experience is preferred as well.

VIEW JOBS 9/22/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-21T00:00 Responsibilities/Duties: The Manager of Admission Event Planning holds primary responsibility for the continuous and successful planning, execution, and assessment of all small and large scale events planned and sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Admission, and at times, may be involved in the planning and execution of enrollment-related events for other units. This includes but is not limited to Visit Days, Admitted Student Programs, Honors Program events, Music Scholarship auditions, regional recruitment receptions offered off-campus, counselors and influencer visit events, LCMS on and off-campus admission events as well as all other programmatic events sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Admission. Collaborate with faculty and staff for programmatic development and logistics and the director of creative services for marketing of such programs. Evaluates each event and prepares comparative reports and analyses, making recommendations for future program improvements. Collaborates with other personnel to target appropriate populations to maximize participation and enrollment growth. In collaboration with direct supervisor, develops and maintains individual event budgets as part of the annual budgeted process. This manager also assists in the document tracking for international students as required in support of the admission recruitment team. The manager also has direct responsibility for all aspects of the undergraduate admission inventory, including all publications, promotional items, and print supplies, monitoring and ordering with designated university departments as needed, within required timeframes and budget allocations. This position manages all logistical arrangements for the new student check-in process and collaborates with Student Services staff on the returning student process. Evaluates annual new student check-in process, recommending changes to improve service to new students and families. Performs other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor, senior vice president, or designee Skill Sets: * Excellent verbal and written communication proficiency and strong collaboration skills. * Project management experience. * Manage multiple projects and to consistently meet project deadlines. * Comprehensive event planning. * Exceptional organizational skills and accuracy in all work. * Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software. * Ability to prepare data queries and produce accurate and informative reports. * Ability to work under minimal supervision. * Technical skills and ability to produce outcomes reports and data-driven recommendations for program improvements. * Management of staff and student program volunteers/participants. Minimum Experience Required: Minimum of three years of event planning experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
