Job Summary
Louisiana Delta Community College (LDCC) seeks a motivated, goal-oriented leader who is passionate about quality education and the positive impact it can have on Ruston residents and employers. Desirable candidates will have the demonstrated ability and desire to work with industry partners, community service agencies, and LDCC faculty and staff in an effort to recruit and properly train students. The Ruston campus offers a variety of short- and long-term training programs in business, allied health, industrial instrumentation, and welding. Transferable general education courses are also available for students wishing to pursue four-year degrees at local universities.
Examples of Duties
Assist in the development and implementation of short and long-term plans for assigned areas that support and contribute to the achievement of College strategic objectives, goals, and its mission and evaluate the effectiveness of such plans and activities. Develops, leads, and evaluates district-wide assigned operations.
Manage operational systems that result in effective administrative processes for budget management, inventory management, student advisement, course scheduling, faculty orientation and all other systems that support instruction, instructional administration, and student support
Identifies learning needs and, and in consultation develops alternative offerings and schedules to serve adults and the work force in concert with academic leadership of the College.
Assists in developing partnerships with business and industry to provide and build the capacity of educational opportunities.
Oversees the day-to-day operation of the campus. Responsibility for facilities and equipment.
Develops alternative funding sources to include grants, foundation donation, and in-kind donations from business and industry.
Recommends, supervises, and evaluates assigned staff.
Develops and manages assigned budgets and grants.
Directs the development and implementation of various programs and grants assuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Represents LDCC with state agencies, economic development groups, and actively participates in community and civic organizations.
Supports assessment and accreditation activities. Ensures that programming is meeting student outcomes and that students participating in programs are well prepared for the world of work.
Attends and participates in professional group meetings and stays abreast of new trends and innovations.
Pursues and maintains a positive, helpful, constructive attitude and work relationship with his or her supervisor, college staff, students, and the community. Takes an active role in the success of both the assigned campus and contributes significantly to the success of the college as a whole.

Minimum Qualifications
Required:
A Master's degree from an accredited institution in a field related to the scope of the position and/or at least five years of demonstrated leadership in higher education or private-sector employment.
Excellent public relation, organizational skills, communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must be service -oriented, promote excellence, and embrace a commitment to professionalism. Applicants should have demonstrated commitment to the philosophy and mission of Louisiana Delta Community College. Applicant should also demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students, faculty, and staff from a variety of backgrounds.
Knowledge of workforce education is highly desirable. A Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in a field related to the scope of the position is desirable.
