SALARY: $32,000 to $35,000 based on education, years of experience, and commensurate with qualifications (non-negotiable)

Position Duties/Responsibilities
The Campus Compliance Assistant in the Office of Campus Compliance and Civility provides support to the director in the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance programs and initiatives. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and communication skills. This role involves collaboration with various university departments, assisting with training sessions, monitoring compliance, and helping ensure compliance of university policies while promoting a culture of civility and respect within the McNeese State University campus community. The Campus Compliance Assistant is responsible for the following:
Assist the director in monitoring compliance of federal, state, and local regulations, and campus policies
Assist with communications between the Office of Campus Compliance and Civility and other campus offices, including Human Resources and Student Affairs
Assist with maintaining clear and effective communication within the campus community regarding compliance and civility concerns
Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and managing time for all student personnel (graduate assistants, and student workers)
Provide administrative support, coordinate meeting scheduling, and assisting with distributing compliance updates
Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of compliance-related policies, procedures, and requirements
Assist with Title IX and Power-Based Violence awareness campaigns for the campus
Assist with monitoring compliance activities, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective action
Assist with periodic inspections of campus facilities for equity and reasonable accommodations for pregnant and parenting students
Participate in professional development activities for best practices related to compliance and civility
Assist with development, monitoring, and maintenance of the departmental budget
Perform clerical duties for the Office of Campus Compliance and Civility such as financial transactions, document management, note-taking, and frontline communications
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Required/Preferred Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma, GED.
At least three years of professional experience related to the job duties.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, and basic Microsoft or computer knowledge.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to write professionally and acceptable for a higher education setting.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in a field related to the job functions.
At least five years of professional experience related to the job duties.
Previous experience in a compliance, administrative, or support role.
Proficient in utilizing common technological software such as the Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, SharePoint, One Drive, etc.).
Supervision experience of persons 18 years or older.
