POSITION PROFILE:

The Asset Protection Officer is an individual contributor position with the Asset Protection team responsible for supporting the protection of our enterprise assets, which include: people, product and property. Our mission is to become the leading Asset Protection department whose capabilities, knowledge of our business and understanding of our customer allows us to ensure associate safety and respond to crisis situations. The Asset Protection Officer supports campus protection and safety through four core campus posts, including: Campus Gates, Lobby Desks, Interior and Exterior Campus Roves. This individual must maintain ongoing action readiness for incidents related to life safety and enterprise shrink. This individual must also maintain accurate reporting on incidents that arise on campus and may participate in campus investigations. This position typically reports to the Supervisor of Asset Protection and has no direct reports.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure associates, vendors and visitors follow safety and security related policies and procedures on campus.

  • Greet, engage and assist associates, vendors and visitors at lobby and entrance gates.

  • Conducts roves in his/her assigned area to detect and appropriately respond to safety and/or security issues. These roves can be performed on foot and/or motor vehicle, as assigned.

  • Controls access into the building by verifying credentials and assigning visitor access as required.

  • Monitors and maintains the compliance with C-TPAT, OSHA, EPA and state and local regulations pertaining to safety, fire safety and environmental protection.

  • React and respond urgently, as first and supporting responders, to campus safety and medical incidents.

  • Identify and assess safety related incidents which may include but are not limited to: First Aid, Life Safety and Internal Theft.

  • Accurately write and submit necessary reporting and follow up on campus safety and security incidents.

  • Retain and implement knowledge of all applicable Standard Operating Procedures, demonstrating responsible and dependable behavior, and is open to change and adapts to new information or unexpected obstacles

  • Conduct surveillance of buildings and grounds through closed circuit television (CCTV) and other electronic systems.

  • Validate and document all outgoing trucks and partner with internal transportation teams on incoming and outbound product.

  • Maintain thorough knowledge and preparedness to use facility safety equipment (to include areas such as: Fire Suppression Systems, Surveillance equipment, etc.).

  • Deliver excellent customer service to all associates.

  • Maintain detailed and current knowledge of the campus (Logistics operations, campus layout, and key business partners).

  • Assist in completion of campus inspections and investigations.

  • Build productive business relationships while demonstrating a thorough understanding of each function

  • Participate in Asset Protection programs, project meetings and committees as directed by leadership.

  • Communicate with business partners, external partners and local law enforcement/emergency responders

  • Support projects and initiatives as assigned by Lead Officer or Supervisor.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • 1 to 3 years of security/safety experience preferred

  • 1 to 3 years of customer service experience preferred

  • Experience with identifying and responding to safety related issues preferred

  • Strong decision making capability

  • Intermediate computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, SAP, access control software & Web based programs

  • Must have the ability to respond in accordance to enterprise policy and procedure in high and low pressure situations

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to interact with individuals from all levels within the organization

  • First Aid, CPR and AED certification annually certified.

  • Must have the ability to multi-task and be flexible

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs.

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time (up to 2 hours)

  • Ability to climb a standard ladder up to 15 feet

  • Ability to climb stairs (2 or more flights at one time) at a casual, brisk or rapid pace

  • Ability to walk continuously for extended periods of time (2 or more hours)

  • Ability to walk over uneven terrain

  • Ability lift or drag up to 105 lbs. up to 50 feet

  • Job duties require working in inclement weather

  • May be required to work weekends and holidays

Characteristics: HVAC Technician is experienced and is capable of performing in all areas related to HVAC systems and Building Automation. This position is capable of performing a wide variety of work to ensure that the facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe and effective working condition. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performing maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Install new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines, depending upon the immediate needs of the department. While Senior HVAC Technicians may have developed skills in one or more areas, all are expected to be able to perform general Facilities and repair in all areas of assignment. Key Duties: * Performs maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines. * Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities including performing material handling equipment troubleshooting and repair; basic activities such as electrical, plumbing, drywall and painting; material handling equipment troubleshooting and repair; office furniture moves and setups. * Maintains building, equipment, shop and storage areas in a clean and orderly condition. * Completes work orders for work performed and includes parts and inventory used. * Document all work order activities to comply with MP2 requirements, providing documented records of the activities performed. * Organizes, schedules, assigns and manages daily activities, productivity/accountability of Facilities Associates and work orders as assigned. * Follow lockout-tag out procedures, confined space procedures, and other safety and environmental procedures/policies and ensure compliance with all company policies, building codes and safety initiatives as assigned. * Oversee internal/external projects including scheduling and contractor/vendor interface. * Punch list all assigned projects and tasks to ensure adherence to company standards and specifications. * Participate in and monitor all Preventive Maintenance tasks and Inventory Management as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience: Possession of a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) and 3-5 years of proven verifiable assignment-related maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above. Licenses: Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. Minimum Requirements: * CFC Certified (EPA Refrigerant Certification). * Electrical experience with high and low voltage, AC and DC. * Energy Management Systems and DDC Controls experience. * Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings. * Proven track record of strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. * 3-5 years of proven field experience and technical training in the HVAC field * Welding skill preferred, but not required * Technical school or training desired. * Must be computer literate. * Must be flexible with work assignment and schedules. When needed individual could be assigned to any of our Central Ohio operations to perform the same or similar work. Shift schedules start/end times and days of the week may also be adjusted based on business requirements. * Must pass training and receive Power Equipment and Manlift License. * Work as a team player within the department and across the business * Support overtime work as required.
