We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Coordinator in Conflict-Free Evaluation and Enrollment Center Expansion (CFEEC/IA) Project. This position will provide support to the CFEEC/IA Project in NYC.
This is a hybrid remote position in New York City. This position reports to the Supervisor
About the New York Independent Assessor (NYIA)
The New York Independent Assessor (NYIA) is a program for New York State Medicaid consumers who want to receive community-based long term care services and supports. A NYIA nurse meets with these individuals to assess how their care needs affect their daily lives. The results of this assessment determine whether these individuals qualify for these services under their Medicaid coverage. Maximus administers this program for the State of New York.
Education and Experience Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop and implement training materials
Develop training schedules (in coordination with other managers and WFM staff) based on the evaluation of the need for new staff and subcontractor personnel
Facilitate and deliver classroom-style training on an initial and ongoing basis
Ensure that program staff are provided with updated knowledge of the Medicaid
Provide administrative support to training classes and team members including class rosters, attendance sheets, assessments, test logs, evaluations, etc.
Community Based Long-Term Care Programs, community resources, and options for clients
Conduct role-playing activities to develop interpersonal skills (e.g., teamwork and conflict management)
Communicate operating policies and procedures that are in compliance with the contractual agreement
Assess the impact of each training course on staff performance and contributes to training material development and updates
At least 2 years of Call Center Operations or Training experience
Skillful in navigating through current and new methods of technology to collaborate with colleagues and deliver training
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
Adept at speaking effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups of people
Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
1 year of direct training experience in a human services environment and/or with instructional design and development
1 year of CFEEC Project Experience
Hands on experience with e-learning platforms
Direct experience utilizing Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams for training
Home Office Requirements:
Candidates must have their own cell phone

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation shall be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Min: USD $17.00/hr.
