Training will be onsite in the Saint Louis office and you will need to come to the office for the first 6 weeks of training, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Following training, schedule options are evenings, overnights and weekends. All of the schedules include working weekends each week (either Saturday or Sunday or both).
Uses coaching techniques, activation and motivational skills to empower the member to take action and participate in the shared decision making process
Project a professional consumer - centric impression as the initial member contact creating the first impression of our business.
Assesses patient's current health status and recommends appropriate level of care based on clinical judgment and protocols
Adheres to ethical, legal / regulatory and accreditation standards
Collaboratively assesses consumers understanding of their condition, identifies potential care, provider and health education gaps.
Triages symptoms and identifies treatment alternatives, provides health education and assisting member in reaching their healthcare goals through decision support
Supports consumers in selection of best physician and facility to maximize access, quality, and to manage heath care cost
Current, unrestricted RN licensure in the state of residence and ability to obtain multiple RN state licenses
3 years of practical clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
Ability to show compassion and provide exceptional customer service telephonically
Ability to speak clearly and articulate clinical knowledge in a manner that is understandable to a wide range of ages across the healthcare continuum
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to blend clinical knowledge and business acumen in order to move members along the continuum of change
Ability to navigate multiple systems and document while carrying on a conversation.
Ability to work independently toward established priorities, metrics and goals
Able to work a full time or part time schedule that may include evenings, overnights and weekends (Saturday or Sunday, sometimes both)
Previous experience in a telephonic clinical or non-clinical role is highly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
Compact state RN License
Coaching, motivational interviewing and/or decision support experience
