JOB SUMMARY:## #This position serves as the primary access point for patients seeking appointments with providers in clinic practices. Responsible for the gathering, entry and verification of registration information.

In addition, this position is responsible for the effective scheduling of patient appointments in a timely and accurate manner. This position must retain a high level of professionalism at all times. MACHINES OR EQUIPMENT OPERATED: #Computer, multiple line telephone and other general office equipment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: # High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a clerical or medicall office program desired.

EXPERIENCE: # Two (2) years# clerical, customer service, call center or related experience such as medical office or administrative services. #Completion of a technical school program in a related filed may be utilized in lieu of experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



#Effective communication skills as well as knowledge of medical practice operations.



#Strong interpersonal skills necessary to function as liaison between physicians/providers, staff and patients and their family members. #Also able to demonstrate a high level of customer service when working with patients who may call under adverse situations.



#Knowledge of medical practice protocols.



#An understanding of both governmental and private insurance programs, and how this information effects patient appointment scheduling.



#Self-motivated and possess critical thinking skills, along with ability to prioritize and coordinate several tasks simultaneously. #Retaining a confident, knowledgeable and helpful demeanor even during busy call volumes is essential.



#Ability to maintain a positive attitude towards health care team members and diverse patient populations required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


#High volume data entry requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, visual acuity to operate standard office equipment and sitting for long periods.
