Statement of Purpose:

Under the supervision of the Call Center Registration Supervisor, the registrar identifies the department and their first name while answering pre registration telephone calls, in a professional manner, for outpatient and surgical day scheduled appointments, ENDO and Rehab pre registrations, as well as walk-in LAB and X-Ray pre registrations.# The registrar is responsible for identifying the correct patient, verifying patient demographic, insurance (eligibility), and physician information, to insure accuracy each and every time.# The registrar works closely with the many ancillary department secretaries and physician offices, to check on appointments/visits for the patient and/or to resolve account issues prior to actually pre registering the account, or shortly thereafter.# This reflects the overall summary of the job description.# The registrar performs other duties as the need arises or as policies change.# More specific duties are listed in this document and in the attached addendum. # # # # Qualifications: # Education: High School Graduate Certification / License: #None needed Experience:# Hospital/Physician Office Registration work helpful-Call Center experience helpful-Secretarial or Clerical Experience helpful- Data entry experience helpful

MRMC Differentials:

Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends.# All differentials are paid based per hospital policy. # # ##
