The Auto Club Group (ACG) provides membership, travel, insurance and financial services offerings to approximately 9 million members and customers across 11 states and 2 U.S. territories through the AAA, Meemic and Fremont brands. ACG belongs to the national AAA federation and is the second largest AAA club in North America.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Individual receives, screens, and routes incoming calls from the queue. Assist with calls and direct them to appropriate personnel and/or locations. Provide assistance with basic club information. Responsible for maintaining logs and records of incoming calls. Obtain information regarding type of service required (e.g. travel type, destination, etc.). Provide basic information regarding services provided in the Travel Sales Center along with service fees. Enter data into point-of-contact (POC) database and documents all relevant details. Notifies member of estimated wait time and assists with setting appointments. May communicate with management to report trends or issues.

Performs other clerical duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Experience in:

  • Call center environment

  • Customer service environment

Work Environment:

Works in a temperature controlled office environment. Irregular hours to include various shifts, weekends and/or holidays

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent


Experience:

  • Using call center telephony technology to answer and distribute inbound calls

  • Navigating through a P.C. and/or automated processing system


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Telephone etiquette

  • Basic computer skills

  • Read and comprehend various service tools (manuals, work models, etc.)

  • Accurately relay messages and instructions

  • Communicate effectively with others in a work environment and with the public

  • Maintain accurate records and logs

  • Provide a high level of customer service in a professional call center environment

  • Service members according to service standards

  • Accurately enter information on a personal computer

  • Identify and resolve customer service issues/requests or transfer to appropriate staff member

  • Represent the Travel Sales Center in a professional and positive manner

  • Read maps and use travel related tools

Shifts available: Several shifts available: 1) 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; 2) 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., 3) 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., 4) 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.. Saturdays are required. You&rsquo;ll need to be able to articulate experience with handling difficult client situations, have an intermediate level of computer proficiency, be well organized in a fast paced / multitasking environment that demands accuracy, and be an exceptional communicator. Client-facing experience &ndash; such as at a front desk, hotel lobby or in retail is a plus. You&rsquo;ll need to be open regarding schedule, which could include weekends and holidays.
