The Calibration Technician is the responsible to perform the instruments calibrations in our facilities also its is required to understand and handle critical conditions of calibrations and regulatory requirements. The technician will make sure that the program instruments are accurate measuring and working efficiently to minimize downtimes.
This job requires high knowledge of measurement instruments and computerized systems.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To calibrate and maintain the measurement instruments
To actualize CooperVision "Computer Calibration Management System for manufacturing, building and utilities plant equipment.
To organize the calibrations with Maintenance Specialists, Manufacturing Supervisors, Cell Leaders, External contractors and other services required by the Calibration Program.
To identify new equipment or systems, which requires calibration services on a regular basis.
To up date data in the Calibration Program, as to assure that established frequency is not affected.
To file and maintains the equipment calibration records as to assure that accuracy of filled information is warranted and in accordance of FDA regulation and CooperVision Regulatory requirements.
To support equipment validation activities as new instruments identification and calibration as required by validation protocols.
To file and archive the calibration documents, as per record retention policy.
To assist in Calibration Coordinator activities, as required.
SKILLS:
Knowledge of MS-Office.
Good knowledge on clerical functions and activities.
Able to read, writes and interprets written reports.
Ability to interpret regulations and requirements.
Good interpersonal skills, highly motivated, self-starter and responsible.
Available to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
Able to use heavy tools/equipment
Good verbal and written communication skill
Capability to read and understand calibration manual and procedures.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Acceptable technical communication skills with suppliers and service contract personnel as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
At least two years of experience in similar positions.
Two years' experience on FDA controllable industrial environments is a plus.
On hand experience with Computer Maintenance Management System as Maintenance Pro, MP2 and Blue Mountain Calibration Management software is a plus.
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Associate degree on Instrumentation, Electronics, Electricity or Industrial Mechanics.
