Associate's degree in calibration or related field is required. In addition, a minimum of 3 years of directly related experience in industrial calibration is required.
U.S. Department of Defense CONFIDENTIAL security clearance is preferred at time of hire.

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an internship opportunity for a Calibration Technician in our Marion, VA facility.

Working directly with project engineering and QA, you'll assist in the development of calibration requirements. With dedication and precision, the Advanced Quality Technician will determine accuracy compliance of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic instruments and apply these requirements through annual calibrations. The company will depend on you to maintain complete and accurate calibration records of company assets within the MetTrak calibration software system.

What you bring to the table:
An Associate's degree in calibration or a related field is required. In addition, a minimum of 3 years of directly related experience in industrial calibration is required.
Solid knowledge of AC & DC electronic theory, safe handling of ESD devices and a working knowledge of ANSI/NCSL Z540 or ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
Skilled in performing calibrations on electronic and mechanical measurement equipment
Solid knowledge of basic computer skills
