Calibration Technicians perform routine and complex work related to the repair and calibration of test, measurement and diagnostic equipment. The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training preferred.

  • Experience in equipment calibration in any of the following:

  • General Purpose

  • Physical Dimensional

  • RF Calibration

  • Must have calibration training or experience in any of the following: PMEL, TMDE, Devry/ITT, Electronics/Metrology degree, or on-the-job training required.

  • Must have strong demonstrated customer service skills.

  • Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications with an emphasis on Excel required.

  • Capable of lifting (50 pounds) unassisted.

  • Candidate must be willing to travel to local and regional on-site locations. Occasional overnight travel may be required.


This position's primary/essential functions are subject to US Government ITAR compliance requirements under current government contracts. VIEW JOBS 5/20/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-08-18T00:00 Job Description: First Shift Position Under relatively close supervision, repair, calibrate, and maintain all types of basic biomedical equipment, devices, instruments, and systems. Inspect, install, and provide preventive maintenance of general biomedical equipment. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations. * Perform a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, service and calibration of a diverse range of biomedical equipment and instrumentation. * Assist in the support of a systematic preventive maintenance program for biomedical equipment and * instrumentation which may include entry into Computerized Maintenance Management System. * Install, qualify, maintain service, modify, troubleshoot, safety test, and calibrate a variety of biomedical * equipment and instrumentation by interpreting engineering and vendor information, schematic diagrams and graphic illustrations. * Diagnose and correct system or equipment malfunctions by repairing or replacing parts to ensure that * biomedical equipment and internal circuitry meets specified requirements. * Provide technical assistance and instruction to personnel in the operation and maintenance of equipment. * Meets departmental performance indicator standards on a consistent basis. * Maintains accurate and timely documentation. * Maintains a clean and safe work place. * Perform other related duties as necessary to support organizational, regional and departmental business and quality goals. Associates Degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology is preferred. * Six months experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Maintenance skills in electronics, mechanical or electromechanical device repair preferred. * Ability to take support calls. * Ability to read color codes on wiring and electrical components. * Ability to comprehend and follow both written and oral instructions. * Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, biomedical and medical staff, and the general public. * A basic knowledge of email, database management, spreadsheet, and word processor applications. * Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary. Ability to keep neat and accurate records. Must be willing to be multi-task trained. * A valid Drivers license with a good driving record. * Ability to take support calls. Apply now!
