Applicants for all employment categories must take and pass a basic skills test which is administered by the Martinez Unified School District. All offers of employment are conditional upon the applicant's satisfactory results of the Post Offer Pre Placement physical evaluation Program.

This physical strength test help us select employee candidates that have demonstrated a minimum level of strength to perform the essential functions of the job. There is no charge for this service. All employees must pass a criminal background check through the Department of Justice. All employees must sign an oath of allegiance to the Constitution of the State of California and the United States, must be of good moral character, must obtain evidence of a negative TB test, and will be required to provide evidence of citizenship or appropriate immigration status.
