CAE Engineer - Frame & Interior Development Job Description: Join a leading global automotive company as a CAE Engineer in Frame & Interior Development.
In this role, you will play a crucial role in the analysis and engineering validation of automotive frame and body systems, focusing on durability and strength. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with substantial experience in CAE simulations and solver software, aimed at enhancing vehicle design and durability. Responsibilities: Develop high-quality finite element (FE) meshes and models for complete body and chassis subsystems and components, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in simulations.
Conduct complex non-linear FE analyses using ABAQUS to assess structural strength and fatigue life of automotive components. Utilize ANSA for mesh generation and pre-processing, integrating results to guide design enhancements. Present clear and comprehensive engineering findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, suggesting actionable modifications.
Collaborate closely with other engineering teams to implement design changes based on CAE predictions and test results. Participate in research and development activities focused on advancing CAE tools and methodologies, improving the accuracy and efficiency of simulations. Involved in occasional physical testing to validate FE models and refine simulation parameters based on real-world data.
Required Skillset: A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in CAE analysis, with a strong focus on durability and strength in automotive frame and body systems. Proficiency in CAE software including ABAQUS, ANSA, and HyperMesh for detailed structural analyses.
At least 5 years of experience in building complex vehicle system level CAE models for visualization and analysis. Experience in developing and executing vehicle system-level CAE models for comprehensive visualization and analysis. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical findings clearly and effectively, with strong presentation skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Bonus Skillset: Previous experience in an R&D environment.
