Actalent Engineering is hiring for a long term consultant to support CAE Engineer in a Automotive Environment. Digital Innovation group is responsible for Performance Design and Manufacturing. Everything from CFD, 1D, 3D design, 3D Analysis, Bridging the gap between 1D and 3D, HVAC. Perspective candidates would support analysis in the greatest area of need and have the potential to support several different areas.

Job Description Details:

Prepare and perform simulations using Star CCM Evaluate the results of the simulations through careful analysis simulations.

Measure these simulations against the target automobile performance criteria

Determine the appropriate countermeasures to meet the criteria if simulation outcomes are below target performance.

Communicate any recommendations to the appropriate Engineering teams with Honda.

Create detailed engineering documentation of simulation analysis by generating written reports and working with design and test engineers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum of 10+ years of industry experience as CAE analyst with experience in 1D & 3D thermal and fluid dynamics simulation.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience using 1D & 3D system simulation software ex. 1D tools (GT suite or Siemens Amesim) & 3D tools (Star CCM+, Openfoam, Fluent).

• Desired experience in HVAC, Cabin+ Comfort, and full vehicle level CAE model construction, calibration, validation, and analysis.

• Capable of developing custom CAE methods for improved modeling and analysis

• Able to come into the office at least 3 days/week à Hybrid work expectation is at least 3 days in office per week (thereby preference is for someone willing to relocate to Ohio)
