Cadd/Bim Support Specialist

CADD/BIM Support Specialist - Richardson, TX

Halff is looking for a dynamic person to join the firm's Technology Department as a CADD/BIM Support Specialist in our Richardson, Texas office. This key position will support the enterprise use of our engineering production software. The primary responsibility will be the support of Autodesk and Bentley products and their related add-ons as well as all other CADD and modeling software used by the company.

Our preferred candidate will have the perspective of a design professional with experience in project setup and multi-discipline coordination. This person should enjoy working with people to resolve problems, find innovative solutions, learn how to leverage new technology, and teach best practices. They should be able to work independently and collaboratively with fellow CADD/BIM team members.

Responsibilities:

• Working in an IT support team environment

• Interacting with CADD/BIM Coordinators from a variety of design disciplines

• Configuring and installing CADD/BIM software

• Troubleshooting installation, performance, and workflow issues

• Problem solving file and user specific issues

• Facilitating project collaboration and work sharing

• Assisting with software deployments using Microsoft SCCM

• Optimizing design environments to leverage the latest technology

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude with a desire to assist others with technology challenges

• A minimum of 5 years of production experience producing civil engineering projects

• A minimum of 5 years of production experience with Autodesk Civil 3D or Bentley Open Roads software. Experience with BIM 360 or ProjectWise collaboration tools is a plus

• Preferred, Associate's or bachelor's degree in Drafting Technology or another related field

• Experience with creating, maintaining, and updating Autodesk and Bentley workspaces

• Knowledge of maintaining and updating CADD/BIM standards and templates

• Experience with automation and scripting to streamline workflows

• Passion for using technology to find better solutions

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work in a team environment
