VHBs growing Bedford, NH office is seeking a CADD Manager to join our Transportation team.

Collaborate with engineering staff to create and develop design concepts and alternatives
Lead the development of construction plans, specifications and estimates for transportation projects
Recognize and resolve construction conflicts and difficulties during design
Review work of others assigned to project in equal or lower level classifications
Manage the development and quality of models produced with Bentley InRoads, including generating templates, feature and surface manipulation, drainage modeling, cross section creation, and management of model-based quantity take offs
Develop and coordinate CADD training to address staff skill gaps
Mentor junior staff on best practices in CADD standards and modeling
Conduct field site visits and investigations as needed
Work collaboratively with other offices and disciplines
Manage quality control and quality assurance of CADD and plan development processes
Interface with clients to assess expectations and design strategies and make recommendations on implementation of new software and workflows
Consult with engineering project management on staffing CADD capabilities to assist management on staff assignments
Skills & Abilities
Civil 3D & GIS (secondary)
Quality oriented with excellent attention to detail
Ability to think critically
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
15+ years of directly-related professional CADD experience
Experience in CADD standards and practices for NHDOT, MaineDOT and VAOT
Associates degree desirable; Bachelors degree preferred
Previous experience working in a civil engineering or transportation survey environment
Knowledge of MicroStation is required
