We are currently seeking CAD Technicians to join our thriving Technical Services CAD Group in the firm's Water and Infrastructure Business Unit.

What you'll be doing: As part of our CAD Group, you will assist engineers and multi-discipline project teams in preparing and managing drawings using CAD and/or BIM software.

What you'll need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in relevant fields (water, wastewater, civil land development)

  • Solid handson knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation

  • Perform routine to moderately difficult drafting assignments

  • Address redline markups provided by engineers or designers

  • Backcheck own work prior to delivery to internal client

  • Understand and adhere to company CAD Standards

  • Ability to adopt and work to a Client CAD Standard when needed

  • Familiar with working in a ProjectWise environment

  • Receive and adhere to budget expectations for task assignments

  • Communicate with engineers regarding task execution

  • Ability to interact, collaborate and communicate with project teams in a positive and proactive manner

Today, they’re focused on delivering energy that is safe, clean, reliable, affordable and secure.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Summary</strong>:</p> <p>Our client is seeking a CAD Drafter to join their civil/electrical design team to work with management teams on large projects.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Primary duties and responsibilities</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Applies standard design techniques and procedures exercising judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications to design concepts.</li> <li>Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features and assistance in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.</li> <li>Prepares addendums and bulletins.</li> <li>Adapt designs to current conditions in field, coordinate designs with current infrastructure.</li> <li>May attend construction meetings and produces site observation. May trouble-shoot design problems in the field during construction.</li> <li>Researches design options and documents findings for project engineer/architect.</li> <li>Checks design calculations and drawings verifying all applicable codes have been incorporated.</li> <li>Processes shop drawings, checks to ensure quality accuracy and completeness.</li> <li>May have communication with external clients in the field and in formal meetings.</li> <li>Travel potential but not required.</li> <li>Valid driver’s license required.
