Work with teams of engineers, designers, and drafters to define CAD software requirements and develop best practices. Main job functions include software configuration, customization, development, installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, user support, training, and project planning.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with software customization, installation, upgrades, and production CAD support

  • Develop automated design processes, configure the CAD environment, gather user feedback, and document CAD best practices as well as develop, implement and enforce CAD Standards

  • Analyze and resolve problems associated with Engineering and CAD software applications and high performance computer hardware

  • Develop technical system documentation for current and newly implemented systems

  • Project identification, definition, analysis of data, developing potential solutions, comparison of benefits, and implementation of the best alternative

  • Work with and for team members on the intent to increase overall efficiency within the engineering organization

  • Proactively seek out additional tasks and responsibilities that will aid the engineering staff in performing their jobs

  • Analyze and facilitate the development of improved engineering concepts

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science or Associate's degree in Computer Aided Design Technology, Information Systems, or other related field required

  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks, and AutoCAD

  • Additional knowledge of SolidWorks PDM, Pro/E (Creo), Inventor, NX, and MathCAD preferred

  • Proficient with learning new software at an accelerated pace

  • Able to multi-task and coordinate/manage various projects

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to gather necessary information to make educated decisions

  • Can work independently as well as in a team environment

The S3D Administrator manages all related activities of the S3D database on the project. The S3D Administrator ensures that all of the S3D software components have been customized and/or enhanced and have been properly integrated according to the needs of the project The S3D Administrator is actively involved during the project's S3D definition, implementation and closeout stages. Responsibilities: * Manage the project S3D setup and customization activities * Load and maintain the engineering specification database and libraries on the S3D project in coordination with the SPM Administrator. * S3D Environment Setup * Knowledge of the workshare aspects of S3D and sharing of data between multiple centers. * Schedule and validate all S3D archivals. * Creation and maintenance of Orthographic Drawing Setup. * Creation and maintenance of Isometric Drawing Setup. * Isometric trouble shooting. * Maintain all Client Reviews, Verify software is operating sufficiently, ensure model is up to date, and produce a tag report. * Recover modeled objects as requested by the project. * Basic knowledge of VB6, SQL and .Net is preferred. * Interfaces with all third party software. * Proficient in MicroStation/AutoCad.
