The Role

The CAD Specialist I will provide engineering drawing / drafting and design support for the Mesa, AZ facility.

External US

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• As directed by Facility Manager and Facility Engineers, serve as primary resource for creation, update, revision, and consolidation of Mesa site engineering drawings

• Generate site layout drawings, including preliminary conceptual drawings, for developing expansion and improvement projects

• Compile and generate comprehensive Mesa site drawing inventory

• Work with Engineering department to develop, implement, and publish drawing index for site stakeholders and users

• Consolidate field change / red-line drawings into final drawing format as needed

• Extensive background in P&ID design and revision.

• Provide drafting / engineering drawing support to other stakeholders at the Mesa site (operating groups, EH&S, HR, Maintenance, etc.) as directed

• Translate engineering design information and concepts into engineering drawings

REQUIREMENTS

• Associates Degree in Drafting and Design Technology or equivalent required

• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD required, with a minimum of 5 years related experience

• Strong preference for relevant industrial experience in maintenance, facilities, construction, or manufacturing related disciplines, including field experience in a plant environment

• Demonstrated familiarity, understanding, and working knowledge of common process equipment and systems including pumping systems, piping systems, instrumentation, and electrical circuits

• Exposure to and workable knowledge of 3D CAD software (Navisworks, Autodesk Revit, etc…)

• This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
