Job Title: CAD Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CAD Operator to perform computer-aided design (CAD) for the preparation of environmental engineering drawings using industry-appropriate software. The CAD Operator will develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, specification sheets, and other data, according to project specifications. Responsibilities include submitting documentation packages, producing drawing sets, verifying design drawings, and maintaining quality standards on all projects. The ideal candidate will also assist in establishing drafting standards, manage CAD system updates, and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
Hard Skills
3-5 years of experience utilizing 2D or 3D AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Microstation
Drafting environmental design experience or Architecture, or Civil Design
Associate of Arts or Associate of Science Degree in Graphics or drafting technology
Soft Skills
Ability to work under supervision and maintain quality standards
Strong organizational skills to classify and organize engineering drawings
Safety-conscious with the ability to follow strict safety rules and guidelines
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Savannah, Georgia.
Work Environment
The role involves working closely with the environmental and geotechnical department on diverse projects in the Savannah territory. Office Hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with eligibility for overtime work at 1.5x rate. The position offers the opportunity to work alongside junior CAD technicians and report/train under experienced staff.
