Position Summary-

Kidwell is seeking a highly motivated student who is ready to put their CAD classes to use. The CAD intern will work on our Low Voltage team to create floorplans and device maps for all new commercial projects. This intern will take multiple pieces of a new job, and connect them all into a seamless and polished plan for the team. Candidates must have strong attention to detail and time management skills in order to keep up with our growing team's needs.

What You'll Do:

  • Follow project methodologies outlined by the Low Voltage team

  • Produce polished floorplans using CAD and PDF to show where new devices will be installed

  • Manipulate and update existing plans in Bluebeam as changes are made

  • Assist our Electrical and Data Cabling teams with plans as needed

  • Coordinate with customers and team members to schedule on-site visits to gain a better understanding of the existing layout

  • Opportunities to work with more detailed or 3D plans as needed

  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Do You Have What It Takes? -

  • Candidates should have at least one year of CAD experience and be familiar with Bluebeam

  • All candidates must be able to pass a physical exam and drug screening, and must maintain a valid Driver's license.

  • Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and more than one semester.

This internship offers a starting hourly rate of $13.50 with career development potential. Other intern benefits include 2 vacation days, 1 sick day, and a Kidwell clothing allowance.
