CAD Drafter

Piper Companies is looking for a CAD Drafter to join a consulting engineering firm located in Baltimore, MD. The CAD Drafter will use CAD programs to create technical drawings.

Responsibilities of the CAD Drafter include:

• Effectively use CAD programs to design technical drawings

• Draw blueprint drawings, floor plans, and mechanical drawings

• Design technical drawings of different interior spaces, including staircases, walls, doors, and railings

• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to create drawings of buildings

• Understand federal, state, and local building codes.

Qualifications for the CAD Drafter include:

• 1+ year of experience using AutoCAD

• Previous experience using CAD or BIM programs

• Knowledge of forms and procedures of the engineering and construction industry

• Previous experience with drafting floor plans, blueprints, or mechanical drawings

• GED required

Compensation for the CAD Drafter includes:

• Salary/Rate Range: $22 - $25 Per Hour depending on experience
