CAD Designer

Job Position: CAD Designer – Plastics & Thermoforming Pay Rate: $25.00-$30.00/hr Shift:

Days Description: Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join a leading thermoforming and injection molding manufacturer in the Flint, MI area. In this role, you will be responsible for creating innovative product and tooling designs, contributing to a dynamic team.

This is a day shift position, offering competitive pay between $25.00 and $30.00 per hour, based on experience. Key Qualifications: 2 years of experience with CAD design, particularly in plastics. Proficiency in SolidWorks with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience.

Experience with Thermoform Design/Tooling for Manufacturing is required. Strong understanding of injection molding and the ability to design injection and blow molds. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Problem-solving mindset, capable of working through complex design challenges with minimal supervision.

Ability to handle multiple projects (5-6 designs) simultaneously, adapting to shifting priorities. Responsibilities: Create detailed product and tooling designs for thermoforming. Generate design concepts with precision, meeting deadlines consistently.

Attend and contribute to design reviews, both internal and with customers, ensuring that design changes are implemented accurately. Participate in part fitting processes, identifying necessary adjustments. Support the company's quality systems and adhere to safety protocols.

Collaborate with the team to maintain a productive, creative work environment. Requirements: Must pass a drug screen, physical exam, and background check. Ability to thrive in a manufacturing environment, which includes exposure to loud noise, temperature shifts, and physical demands such as lifting molds and trays up to 40 lbs regularly.
