CAD Design & Drafting

Summary

Enerflex requires a Pipe Designer II to create mechanical, structural, electrical, electronic designs for new product parts, subassemblies, assemblies, or system configurations using 3-D CAD Systems and works with limited supervision.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

• Piping and equipment modeling as per the Process requirement.

• Preparation of complete equipment layout, piping layout, general arrangement drawings, piping isometrics, and structural drawings using PDMS Draft & Cad Worx.

• Issue engineering drawings for Inter Discipline Check (IDC) and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to close any technical issues.

• Preparation of MTO reports in PDMS & CAD Worx.

• Preparation of pipe spool drawings and checking of Isometrics.

• Piping support modeling.

• Preparation of equipment layout and nozzle orientation.

• Ensures adherence to quality and cost parameters of the project.

• Participates in brainstorming possible solutions or alternate construction.

• Meets the deadlines as per the project schedule.

• Prepare "As-Built" Drawings following the completion of construction activities.

• Perform related duties as and when directed by Direct Supervisor.

• Assist in the design and layout activities on projects under the direction of a Lead Designer.

• Preparation of equipment layout and nozzle orientation

• Preparation and self-checking of detail Fabrication Drawings with BOM, welding details based on specifications and Datasheets, and code requirements or industry standards.

• Preparation of General Arrangement Drawings using PDMS Draft & Cad Worx.

• Coordination with other Engineering Discipline Engineers and Designers

• Requires employees to constantly type and use a computer and other office equipment, such as copier, printer, calendar, telephones, etc.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Technical School Training in ME, EE, Computer Aided Design Technology or related field

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in conceptual development of piping layout engineering for oil and gas, refinery, power etc.

• PDMS modeling and trouble shooting

• E3D

• CAD Works tool

• AutoCad

• Navis Worx review software

• Requires use of computers, proficient using 3-D CAD design; proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), proficient with email system,

• Self-initiative to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions

• Clear and concise verbal and written communications

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Working Knowledge in Engineering Document management system, preferably WRENCH software.

• Working Knowledge in design and development of mechanical, structural, electrical, Instruments equipment's.

• Working knowledge in compression, power generation, or offshore oil and gas
