The Facilities Renovations Department seeks (1) a Cabinet Maker to join the already awesome team, taking the Building Maintenance Department to the next level of excellence!

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties while assisting In addition to supporting the department Cabinet Maker, Senior will also:
- Fabricates the installs of countertops, shelving, trim, and molding
- Demonstrates journeyman expertise in all cabinetry-related work
- Builds and repairs all types of furniture, including cabinets, tables, shelves, desks, bookcases, bulletin boards, chairs, and other wooden equipment
- Lays out material, machinery, and assembly
- Repairs and cleans furniture for refurnishing, including the fabrication of new parts and finishing the removal.
- Builds and repairs windows
- Operates various types of machinery such as mortises, sharpers, ripsaws, joiners, planners, bandsaws, and related equipment
- Read plans, blueprints, and shop sketches and accurately determine work to be performed and resources required
- Completes and submits all required project documentation for processing as required
- Maintains required records and logs.
- Use and maintain tools, materials, and equipment in a secure, safe, clean, and orderly manner.
- Performs other related assigned duties.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and five years of related experience; or a technical or a vocational degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Successful completion of a post-secondary vocational/technical school program directly related to the cabinetry trade; cabinet, countertop, shelf, and trim work fabrication (interior and exterior finishes) or one year of experience performing cabinetry work
- Knowledge of equipment and tools used in fabricating and repairing furniture and cabinets
- Skills and ability to properly use tools to repair and fabricate furniture
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures within the area of assignment
- Knowledge of computer applications related to the area of assignment
