JOB SUMMARY

The Cabinet Operations Supervisor position entails complete responsibility for the functions mentioned below, with the possibility of additional duties being assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee and be responsible for new Community Set Up.

  • Create community upload template for each community.

  • Update community template as needed as changes occur. Make sure any affected lots in process have been updated accordingly.

  • Facilitate any community changes and communicate these changes to the team and field.

  • Work with Quality Control area manager to assign community field managers and tech coverage.

  • Assign delivery logistics company and installers to each community (adjust as needed to provide great service)

  • Work with Operations manager to assign team members for all operational functions.

  • Train and oversee the ordering process to ensure cabinets are ordered on time to meet customer commitments.

  • Monitor cabinet orders, deliveries, and ETA's weekly. Work with vendors to keep up to date on order lead times and communicate any changes to order processers and schedulers.

  • Be proficient in 20/20 and excel. Be able to produce measure packets, place orders when the situation dictates.

  • Must have strong organization and communication skills. Must be able to work efficiently with all department team members.

  • Review installation and delivery schedules to confirm accuracy. Communicate any discrepancies to management.

  • Be proficient in navigating NexGen as required. Be able to issue pos, place orders when needed.

  • Review hot list daily to make sure all upcoming lots are captured. Report any missing lots to the scheduling team and Customer Care management

  • Track and research errors in the field immediately to determine the root cause such as: estimating error, op error, builder change, NexGen not updated with current drawings, installer error, vendor error. Once the error cause is determined, take corrective action to remedy so it does not happen again. Initiate the back charge process to the vendor or installer as required.

  • Work with the customer service team to identify and track reoccurring issues. Recommend corrective action, monitor installer performance.

  • Field calls/texts from field team and builder superintendents, to ensure issues are resolved in timely manner.

  • Make sure short or damaged parts and pieces are ordered and tracked. Assign a reason code and cost associated with the needed parts. Provide back up for back charge as needed along with pictures. Notify the responsible party, a back charge is pending and provide back up for said charge, submit back change to responsible operations team member.

  • If issues arise, problem solve to produce the most efficient and cost effect solution.

  • Assist the field team to maximize efficiency.

  • Check in with the builder superintendent monthly to enlist feedback as to our performance.

  • Maintain a lot tracking spread sheet on all received lots which tracks arrival date install date. If cabinets sit for 3 weeks or more, investigate as to why and take appropriate action.

  • Investigate and approve or deny installation extras provide back up for decision.

  • Work with manufacturers to ensure product lead times and delivery ETAs are accurate and consistent.

  • Send weekly spreadsheet reports to Builders who request them.

  • Any other duties the Management may assign.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, web-based software, and accounting software.

  • Experience with all duties listed in the job description.

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Wants to be part of a team.

  • Construction trade experience with a homebuilder or subcontractor

  • Knowledge of cabinet installation procedures.
