Assemble wood cabinets from engineering drawing utilizing a variety of different tools and equipment

Responsibilities:

• Installation and fabrication of cabinet components and hardware

• Laminate, sand and paint cabinets and panels as needed

• Final assembly of parts and hardware

• Meet all QA and QC standards for each task

• Function with minimal amount of supervision

• Close attention to detail

• Meet standards of safety and 5S

• Work from work orders and drawings

• Promote use and applications of Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement tools as part of the culture

• Be compliant with the rules of conduct and attendance per company policy

• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

• Report repetitive quality issues

• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):

• Preferred 1-year experience in cabinet making or similar experience

• Ability to read, write comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English

• Ability to read and use a linear and other measuring devises

• Familiar with various tools; drills, screw gun, table saw, band saw and router

• Ability to use basic mathematics

• Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards

• Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it

• Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools and machinery

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

• Ability to work with arms above head.

• Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. Employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particle and vibration. Employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals

The pay scale for newly hired employees in this position at this location in California is between $18.50 - $22.00. This is based on meeting all of the requirements of the role. The base pay offered for the role may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We are proud to offer competitive benefits in addition to competitive pay.
