ABOUT THE JOB:

We are looking for a Cabinet Installer with extensive custom cabinet installation experience who can run an install project independently from start to finish. The ideal candidate must be a great finish carpenter who can read design plans/drawings and execute without supervision. This is an integral part of our business and in this role, you will ensure that our install operations run smoothly day in and day out. An excellent installer is, above all, a very well organized and detail-oriented professional. The main goal of this role is to install cabinets and other related materials with accuracy and speed so our clients can enjoy their updated living spaces.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Install custom cabinetry in a high quality, safe and productive manner either independently or with other team members depending on the size of the project
  • Install custom cabinets, trim and moldings all onsite in our clients home
  • Fabricate or modify cabinets onsite in our clients' home when required
  • Fabricate or modify trim and moldings onsite in our clients' home when required
  • Assist with demolition and removal of the old building material in our clients home
  • Meet with internal design team members and review plans before projects start
  • Utilize company provided drawings to properly and efficiently install custom cabinets
  • Performed quality assurance of all project materials before and after installation and report any issues to management
  • Interact in a professional manner with our clients
  • Interact in a professional manner with our internal design team to resolve design and product install issues
  • Maintain job site and shop cleanliness
  • Utilize and maintain shop tools and other job site equipment in safe working order
  • Responsible to submit job site compliance documents as instructed

Requirements

  • Must have +10 years of professional custom cabinet installation experience
  • Must have experience fabricating custom cabinets
  • Must be able to read design plans/drawings and execute without supervision
  • Must be capable of delivering customer service to our clients and represent the company in a positive manner
  • Must have personal reliable transportation and valid NY state drivers license
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • To meet the physical demands of the position, the candidate must be able;
    • Lift 75+ pounds (up and downstairs at times)
    • Work in various inside & outside environments being subjected to noise, sawdust, chemical smells, and other external factors
    • Operate power tools, hand tools, and job-specific equipment and tools
    • Requires visual acuity for depth perception and color perception

At Cabinet Designers our mission is to improve our clients' lives by improving their living spaces.</p><p>ABOUT THE JOB:<br></p><p>Cabinet Designers is seeking applications from qualified apprentice-level candidates to assist in the installation of custom and semi-custom kitchen cabinets. The ideal candidate must be dependable and able to work with a team, as well as communicate professionally with our clients. The position requires prior experience with installing cabinets. This is an apprentice level position that will provide an opportunity to learn from our very experienced finish carpenters. </p><p>RESPONSIBILITIES:<br></p><ul> <li>Assist experienced install team members and continue to learn from them daily </li> <li>Assist with modifying and installing cabinets in a safe and productive manner</li> <li>Assist with modifying and installing cabinet trim and molding when required</li> <li>Assist with installing cabinet door hinges and drawer slides</li> <li>Assist with installing cabinet hardware, cabinet inserts and organizers</li> <li>Load and unload job-specific materials from company vehicles</li> <li>Load and unload job-specific equipment and tools from company vehicles</li> <li>Set up and break down all equipment and tools as necessary</li> <li>Ensure equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly in a safe manner</li> <li>Keep the job-site clean and organized at all time</li> <li>Setup job-site protection resources such as dust collection, floor protection, and zip wall system</li> <li>Assist in removing debris and hazardous materials from job-site</li> <li>Demolition and removal of old kitchen materials as needed</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Must have prior experience installing cabinets</li> <li>Must have prior experience working with various power tools, including a circular saw, miter saw, a jigsaw and oscillating saw</li> <li>Must be able to read a tape measure and understand fractions/basic math</li> <li>Must possess reliable transportation with a valid NY state drivers license </li> <li>Must be willing to work overtime when necessary to complete projects on time</li> <li>Must be able to read work orders and communicate effectively in writing</li> <li>Must be able to pass a background check </li> <li>Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position - including:<ul> <li>Able to lift 75+ pounds (up a staircase and down a staircase at times)</li> <li>Able to work in various inside &amp; outside environments while being subjected to noise, sawdust, chemical smells, and other industry specfic factors</li> <li>Requires visual acuity for depth perception and color perception</li> </ul> </li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul> <li>Paid time off</li> <li>Paid sick leave</li> <li>Paid US holidays</li> <li>Medical and Dental insurance</li> <li>Supplemental Group Insurance Benefits</li> <li>Individual 401k Retirement Account</li> <li>Competitive compensation based on the level of experience</li> </ul> Cabinet Designers Kingston NY
