Responsible for overall duties of the overnight operation such as employee relations, counseling, client relations, FAA/TSA relations, training, payroll and scheduling.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent.

Must have previous airport experience.

Management experience necessary.

Word, excel, outlook knowledge preferred.

PERSONAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Treat all information as confidential.

Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees.

Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift.

Must complete a pre-employment drug test

Must be able to read, understand and carry out instructions in English.

Must complete a pre-employment background check.

Must be able to verbally direct in English.

Must be a citizen of the United States or possess the necessary authorization from the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).

  • PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • In the absence of the Airport Manager must be able to take over efficient management of all Airport duties such as hiring/termination, counseling, administrative duties, client relations, FAA relations, training, payroll processing, client invoicing, scheduling, and employee relations.

Must be able to perform all duties when necessary.

Must be familiar with all FAA regulations.

Train/retrain all personnel in Airport procedures, safety procedures, and company policies and procedures.

Must be familiar with all state regulations regarding hiring and termination of personnel.

Complete and maintain training files

Responsible for the scheduling of all airport employees insuring adequate coverage at all times

In Airport Managers absence act as liaison among local airport/airline managers, FAA/TSA representatives and company.

Monitor the behavior and performance of all employees. Counsel and report employees whose performance or behavior falls below company standards

Perform quality assurance service audits as directed to conform to client specifications and/or procedures. Ability to analyze and trend audit results.

Responsible for all FAA and company required reports

Remain constantly aware of the safety needs of airport locations

Responsible for monitoring paperwork. Report new hires, re-hires, terminations, and weekly payroll in a timely manner

Maintain good employee relations at Airport sites. Handle employee problems in an efficient and effective manner

Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas, maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs.

Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from airlines, staff and public in a courteous manner.

Attend meetings and inservices as required.

Utilize appropriate communications channels and maintain records, reports, files as required.

Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives.

Utilize company and client equipment, supplies and resources in a conscientious, cost effective manner.

Perform other duties as requested.

  • Comply with all safety requirements to include only using equipment that you have been trained on, immediately reporting unsafe conditions and workplace injuries, wearing proper PPE, and attending required safety training.

  • Ensure your employees are following all safety requirements through conducting safety briefings and observations, oversight of their participation in required training, that they are wearing proper PPE, and that thorough accident investigations are conducted following an injury
