The position requires someone who is organized with good time management skills, and who can multi-task while remaining calm and focused. You'll maintain phone and written contact with all necessary parties to verify coverage and to investigate, manage and resolve medical-only claims promptly and accurately.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Investigating losses

• Analyzing coverage, determining compensability and benefits

• Establishing reserves and negotiating settlements

• Conducting meetings on the phone with insureds and claimants

• Preparing large loss reports to both internal and external audiences

• Attending settlement conferences as assigned

• Working closely with defense attorneys and other vendors including medical case management, surveillance, etc.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Field of Study: Liberal Arts, Business or a related discipline.

Experience: Generally, 6 to 10 years of experience handling California Workers' Compensation claims.

Salary Range:

$96,000.00 -$125,000.00

The wage range for this job is based on role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, experience of the candidate, the role's scope, complexity, and other business and organizational needs. In addition to the base compensation, we offer a competitive Total Rewards package, which includes but is not limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and 401(k) plan for full-time and part-time employees who are eligible for benefits.
