Roles and

Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, uses current information security technology disciplines and practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information assets in accordance with established standards and procedures. Develops and maintains knowledge base on changing regulatory, threat, and technology landscapes to continually develop or maintain security policies and standards, and ensure compliance throughout the organization. Develops information systems assurance programs and control guidelines, assists in resolving technical problems, priorities, and methods. Audits moderately complex new and existing information systems applications to ensure that appropriate controls exist, that processing is efficient and accurate, and that systems and procedures are in compliance with corporate standards. Competent to work on most phases of information systems auditing.

  • Senior Level Knowledge of Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA).
  • Senior Level Knowledge of the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) Program.
  • Senior Level Knowledge of Security Technical Implantation Guides (STIGS) checklist, STIG viewer, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tools, and validation of security configurations.
  • Senior Level Knowledge of Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Senior Level Knowledge of Researching, Managing and Producing exceptions to policies.
  • Senior Level Knowledge of incident handling, Task Order (TASKORD) tracking and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF), Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security controls validation and verification to include required artifacts.
  • Working knowledge of the Assured Compliance Assessment System (ACAS).
  • Working knowledge of the
    Host Based Security System (HBSS
    )

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED (equivalent); OR
  • Certifications listed above in lieu of higher education; AND
  • Experience equal to degree level

Preferred

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring.
  • Able to work independently and as a team member.
  • Sound trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
