Boeing Global Services is currently seeking a C-17 Training Management System (TMS) Scheduler to support the C-17 Training System(TS) Program. This position is located at McChord AFB, WA.
This will be a union position subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Schedules training, arranges for instructors, obtains instructional materials and ensures stakeholders are kept abreast training schedules.
Analyzes customer-training requirements.
Coordinates logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials.
Determines classrooms and device availability (e.g. simulators, desktop trainers, flat panel trainers, computer-based trainers, instructor).
Researches and evaluates alternative training schedules.
Plans and facilitates meetings to communicate training schedule/requirements.
Manages rescheduling according to qualifications, contractual restrictions, customer requirements, priority and availability.
Communicates new schedules to stakeholders.
Schedules longer term training requirements based on strategic planning.
Ensures priorities are optimally set, and monitors and follows up to ensure the training schedule is utilized in an efficient manner.
Researches, collects and compiles data such as training completions, instructor teach rates, action items and other matters requiring follow-up and provides visibility of status.
Performs resource scheduling (Contract Instructors (CI), Academic Classrooms, Training Devices, Brief/Debrief stations, etc.) to meet customer defined training event support requirements.
Resource scheduling to include identifying and allocating qualified/certified CIs to meet primary, additional and collateral performance requirements.
Coordinate support requirements with customer resources to acquire/adjust scheduling requirements and commitments.
Schedules full time and part time CIs to meet baseline work schedules.
Develops temporary employee work schedules as needed to meet customer training requirements.
Schedules qualified CIs to support training events.
Coordinates support requirements and draft support schedules with managers, leads and CIs.
Performs assigned Administrative Assistant duties and responsibilities in the absence of the Administrative Assistant.

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance - Most Recent Background Investigation (initial or periodic) must have been completed within the last 10 years.
Minimum 3 years experience performing resource (instructors, classrooms, training devices) scheduling
A minimum of 3 years experience using a scheduling systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
An associates degree or higher degree
A minimum of 2 years experience using Microsoft Office to include; Word, Excel, Outlook and Project

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
