Job Description:

C-130 Airframe Power Plant General (APG), Lead Field Service Engineer (FSE). This position is located at a Andrew's Air Force Base and is for legacy C-130 aircraft. The FSR will advise/assist the customer on all matters pertaining to the daily maintenance, inspection, logistics, and operation of the C-130 aircraft.

Applicant requires extensive C-130 aircraft experience with the C-130 Airframe, mechanical systems and must possess a general knowledge of all aircraft systems. Experience in troubleshooting, operation, modification and inspection methods relative to the installed systems is essential. Position involves significant interface with customer personnel at all levels; excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required.

Tasks include but are not limited to the following: Provide on-site/on-equipment technical assistance and technical advice including investigation, engineering analysis and interpretation of results to customer personnel. Assistance to the customer will be provided on all aspects of equipment operations including installation, maintenance and operation techniques, adjustment, calibration, trouble shooting, bench check, routine maintenance, inspection and intermediate level repair.

Provide advice in the identification of and instruction on the use of special tools, handling equipment and test equipment associated with the C-130 aircraft. Provide advice and assistance on the use and interpretation of C-130 technical orders, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and other related technical publications. Provide on-going surveillance of shop maintenance and safety practices; provide technical advice and recommend corrective measures necessary to ensure adequate maintenance and safety procedures are followed to minimize future problems.

Assist the customer in troubleshooting of unusual and difficult maintenance issues associated with C-130 aircraft.

Analyze maintenance problems and suggest improvements where indicated. Provide liaison between customer, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Depot on related maintenance and operational problems.

Provide advice as requested to assist in accident investigation and preparing failure data reports. Candidate must be willing to travel and accept assignment to any location for which selected. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Provide liaison through which information related to maintenance and operational problems can be quickly disseminated to operational and maintenance personnel.

Must be a US Citizen. Must have at least an Interim Secret Security Clearance.

This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must pass Medical Physical after offer acceptance.

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of C-130 legacy APG Experience

  • A working knowledge of all C-130 systems

  • Previous experience as a C-130 Field Service

You will assist in requirements and with deliverables, while also adding value to the overall project team. * Provide support for the corporate Internet, Intranet and Extranet site, internal and external web-based applications. * Resolve SharePoint technical problems. * Ensure that new web applications are consistent with relevant design and formatting standards; apply web page design principles and methods used by SharePoint Portal Server 2007/2010. * Experience with SharePoint 2013 and 365. * Maintain the availability of customer data and systems. * Configure and maintain VM and server configurations. * Create clear and concise process documentation. * Resolve escalated tier 3 trouble tickets. * Develop sound solutions to complex problems, produce system level reports, report status to Senior level Management. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 12+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of related experience, training, and/or certifications accepted in lieu of a degree. * Must hold current or obtain with 90 days of start date DoD 8570 IAT2 certification Security+ CE or higher. * Currently possess a DoD Secret security clearance. * Microsoft SharePoint experience.
