C++ Software Engineer

• Robotics Position Description

As a Software Engineer for the advanced semiconductor packing equipment team of Kulicke and Soffa, your mission will be to develop software for the real-time coordination of motion control, pick-and-place processes, image acquisition and object recognition. You will be a member of a team that will be developing complex software systems for semiconductor assembly equipment.

Responsibilities for full development cycle of new features, product enhancement, troubleshooting and debugging both in simulation as well as on the machines.

• Work closely with multi-site software teams to coordinate with your counterparts from around the globe to deliver software features that support advanced packaging equipment.

• Review and co-specify requirements

• Designing and coding the C++ software

• Software Implementation and testing

• Support advanced packaging equipment demos, qualification and customer requirements, travel to international customer sites if warranted

• Work in Scrum based Agile environment

• Hands on semiconductor equipment machinery testing and debugging

Requirements

• Ability to understand and learn existing C++ software: required

• Experience in software design and implementation; required

• Object Oriented Analysis & Object Oriented Design Methodologies; preferred

• Multi-threaded Programming experience; preferred

• Experience in the software architecture, design and development of real-time control software; preferred

• Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related degree; required
