Computer Task Group (CTG) is seeking a C Firmware Engineer to support our Fortune 100 client in Rochester, MN.
Project Location: Rochester, MN
Project Duration: Three years , ongoing
W2 employees only, please no C2C
This person would be responsible for developing Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) firmware functions for our Power Systems. This BMC firmware (also known as OpenBMC) is opensource available publicly on github.com. This person would be designing and implementing functions using our opensource development process, which includes collaborating with internal personnel and also with developers from Intel, Google, etc.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
Object oriented design knowledge and C Programming is required
Embedded systems knowledge, driving hardware via firmware is required
Familiarity with C 14 and C 17 is desired
Ability to work in a Linux OS building applications is required
Familiarity with Linux kernel/device driver development is a bonus
Systemd/dbus knowledge is desired
Familiarity with Opensource development and opensource community
tooling (eg. Git, Github, Gerrit, Mailing lists, IRC)
