Immediate, full-time opening for a self-motivated person with experience using/supporting one or more business accounting software packages to join a successful and growing ERP Partner working with new and existing clients.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or comparable work experience
  • Strong Windows Desktop, Windows Server 2008/2012 skills
  • Proficient in the following software packages: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access), SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio 2010 and newer are a plus.
  • SQL Server administration, including database backup and restore, administering maintenance plans, managing database roles SSRS is a plus
  • Understanding of the .NET framework as well as either the C# and/or VB.NET languages Experience in xRP development is a plus.
  • Web development using Microsoft MVC, ASP.NET, JavaScript and HTML a plus
  • Excellent written, verbal and customer service communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and work with our team to resolve.
  • Must be willing to dig in and learn new concepts.
  • Project and time management skills required.
  • Experience in, and an understanding of, business/accounting software a plus
  • Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or Acumatica experience is a definite plus!
  • Must be local/available to be onsite at local office daily.

This position is accountable to serve as the recognized senior manager for the operations of security risk management for the Pratt & Whitney headquarters locations in East Hartford, Connecticut. The position will provide oversight and continuous improvement of the overall security program in support of safeguarding the company's critical assets – people, sites, products, operations, and reputation – across the world. Job Description Responsibilities Include: * Coordinate and lead security operations to ensure the protection of assets and self-initiate course of actions necessary to develop timely mitigation plans * Develop and deliver directly as a process partner preventative, protective, and response programs to protect against financial loss, trade secret loss, sabotage, crimes against persons, threats, emergencies, and other security related outcomes that may impact profitability and brand * Monitor security operational risks and security trends to anticipate and identify risks, threats and vulnerabilities advising the Americas Security leadership, the Director of Global Security and other appropriate leadership with reliable, timely, and complete information to mitigate and minimize incidents impacting company critical assets. * Maintain an active view of the operational landscape conducting risk assessments and threat analysis with subsequent defined courses of action based upon business criticality * Lead reporting shift managers and guard staff aligned through line accountability in the design, development and implementation of the global security programs to reduce risks and respond when incidents occur. Continually develop the expertise of the organization broad of succession planning. * Across East Hartford campus, advise on the implementation and maintenance of all security related company policies, standards, guidelines, processes, procedures, and plans. Ensure coordination with relevant partners and multi-disciplinary members to implement compliance with policies and standards to help ensure consistent application of security across the campus * Adapt comprehensive security learning curriculum and security awareness program for appropriate delivery * Deliver risk appropriate briefings, in depth reporting, or advisories to business leadership and project teams based on an analysis of open source and security related intelligence * Coordinates with Quality and internal controls organizations to ensure security at the facility level are assessed and achievable remediation plan established * Maintain daily and other periodic measurements for efficient and effective program delivery * Ensure all site security related technologies and system requirements are operable for can-do and reactive programming while co-designing the system with other company programs including CCTV, intrusion detection, access control, fire & life safety systems, perimeter security mechanism, and other security mitigation measures * Regularly assess the program to identify gaps or opportunities in standard work within the program or across interdependencies with the multi-disciplinary team partners to define alternative approaches to maintain a positive employee work experience * Be the technical authority on internal and external committees and projects for all headquarters based needs including business acquisitions, divestitures, and new product/service offerings to align security offerings to the business strategy * As needed, liaise between the organization and security specific to UTC, other business units, and industry forums to have an in-depth understanding of security operations and ensure the delivery of a comprehensive industry standard program offering including a well-developed network of Hartford area public and private sector counterparts * Active member in the Pratt & Whitney Crisis Management Program and lead in the development, training, and implementation of security related emergency management processes at the headquarters site in conjunction with EH&S compliance programming . Engages during any crisis, threat assessment, high risk separation, or other security related event or program carried out at the headquarters * Participate in program reviews budget/schedule prioritization * This position requires a limited amount of travel – 10% of the time. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience, or Master's degree and 7+ years of experience * 10+ years of experience with law enforcement, intelligence, public service, military, or private security organization * Security experience in developing, implementing, and handling corporate crisis management and workplace threat assessment security programs * US Citizen, due to government contracts and be capable of passing a National Security Background Investigation to enable the issuance of a security clearance Preferred Requirements: * Excellent Social Skills with the ability to influence and interact across a matrix environment * Exposure in enterprise security risk management inclusive of assessment and mitigation processes * Exposure working with governmental security and international trade compliance programming * Certification from an accredited crisis management and workplace threat assessment related organization United Technologies Corporation is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
