MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / COMPETENCIES

Responsibilities:

1.Obtain price quotes from suppliers to verify costs stated on purchase requisitions

2.Maintain supplier relationships, also including negotiation of pricing, determining product availability, and arrangements/agreements on delivery schedules

3.Conversion of system and manual requisitions to purchase orders and date entry into both the ERP/MP system and to the appropriate department spreadsheets

4.Monitor and expedite shipments to ensure committed delivery dates are met and/or pull-in shipments as/if needed to support production needs

5.Resolve shipment errors with suppliers and assist AP issues to ensure timely payment supplier invoices

6.Compilation of PPV (purchase price variance) reports

7.Compilation of supplier performance reports

8.Work closely with production planning on Min/Max/ROP reports to ensure accurate data is used for lead times and PO delivery dates and to understand productions needs along with any requirements for delivery pull-ins

9.Support efforts on the projects for risk mitigation by product line



  1. Support efforts on the project for business risk mitigation by supplier

  2. Support on any activities related to SCRs (Supplier Correction Requests)

  3. Compilation and execution of supply agreements and supplier surveys

  4. Follow up on new and existing suppliers for all documentation defined and needed according to the supplier qualification procedure

  5. Support the effort to create and maintain the supplier files

  6. As needed, support desk audits of suppliers and any follow up as required

  7. Maintaining documents in a manner to support the department operating procedures and also company and GMP/ISO/CFR standards

  8. Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years work experience in procurement & supplier management (medical device manufacturing environment preferred)

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with an integrated MRP/ERP system in a multi warehouse environment

  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques

  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data

  • Experience with the RFQ process and the development of supply agreements

SKILLS

  • Skilled in price negotiations and networking both internally and externally

  • Aptitude to working with numbers and spreadsheets

  • Ability to work and solve problems independently, especially working with suppliers

  • Computer literate with strong Excel, Word, and MRP/ERP system skills

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blue prints

  • Understanding of GMP, ISO, CFR Standards; understanding of lot and serial control and traceability relative to a controlled manufacturing environment, e.g. medical device, aerospace

  • Must have good communication skills at all levels, written and verbal

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a high pressure and fast paced manufacturing environment

Oversee them maintenance team and provide determining workload, delegating assignments, training, monitoring and reviewing work performance for quality, accuracy and completeness. * Supervises and trains maintenance team on a day to day basis. * Ability to supervise various facilities projects and maintenance vendors for a facility that requires a high level of attention and cleanliness. * Specifies and purchases all needed mechanical parts required for repairs and modifications. * Coordinates and acts as liaison between contractor(s) and DAS. * Reviews and/or inspects work for quality, accuracy, and completeness * Establish a preventative maintenance program throughout the facility * Establishes, maintains, and enforces mechanical preventative maintenance programs. * Does annual reviews of each member of the maintenance team. * Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money * Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives * Supervising and leading preventative maintenance to ensure minimum disruption to core activities * Supervising and planning essential central services such as maintenance, security, maintenance, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and other items as required * Ensuring the building meets health and safety requirements * Planning best allocation and utilization of space and resources for current premises * Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies * Using performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of Lean and Six Sigma practices * Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
