Within Havas Media, the Buyer, Video Investments is responsible for the negotiation and placement of all media for existing clients, and making special recommendations that will be presented to the client and key account management personnel. As a Buyer, you are responsible for all video, FEP, and advanced TV negotiations and account maintenance. This role reports into the Supervisor.


  • Creates and executes Video buys from start to finish

  • Negotiates and documents rates, special placements and added value

  • Executes all Media plans while adhering to established budgets and timelines

  • Clearly and accurately communicates orders and changes to media vendors

  • Monitors buys in progress, and is responsible for overseeing the post-buy results of all buys

  • Tracks media expenditures in Havas Media system(s) to ensure budget compliance

  • Researches and maintains record of trends, innovations and changes that affect media landscape

  • Provides new and profitable ideas to grow clients' business

  • Acts as liaison between media vendors and the agency

  • Gathers organizes and presents competitive research and spending data, as requested

  • Provides market analysis and other reports, as requested

  • Mentor and support junior team members


  • Demonstrate strong negotiating capability, excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, problem solving, and, decision-making skills

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, MediaOcean, Prisma

  • Ability to manage simultaneous tasks in a fast-paced technology-oriented environment

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university

The Director, Investments engages in activities on endowment fund and operating pool investments and provides advice on various financial procedures and methods. The Director, Investments is responsible in the management of cash flow and investment of surplus types of operating funds. He or she will ensure liquidity and security of University funds, while seeking an optimal level of risk adjusted return. Duties and Specifications • Generate and supervise the generation of financial cash flow and valuation models and perform capital structure analysis to identify assets available for investment. • Identify and perform comprehensive due diligence on new investment opportunities. • Develop and present to key stakeholders implementation plans to invest University funds in line with existing investment guidelines. • Negotiate the sale and/or purchase of securities as needed to implement strategic investment decisions, meet liquidity needs, or endowment requirements. • Ensures the reasonableness of fees paid on behalf of managing the University's funds and negotiate fee concessions as necessary. • Ensures compliance with existing internal controls, policies and procedures in day-to-day conduct and supervision of investment activities. • Recommends and implements improvements to current processes and policies. • Build and maintain relationships with interested internal parties, current and potential investment managers, brokers, as well as custodian banks. • Leads coordination of external counsel for the review for private investments. • Participates in the Board of Trustees' Subcommittee for Funds and Investments meetings for the recording of meeting minutes. • Understands and manages appropriate procedures and processes around month-end and quarter-close activity. • Acts as lead for all year-end audit processes; synchronizes all activities with external consultants, custodian and accounting teams • Trains treasury staff on developmental goals in support of the University Treasury - 152500 Northeastern University Boston MA
