What will I be doing?
You will be supporting Engineering, Facilities, and Manufacturing with materials procurement needs and assisting in clarifying issues with the Accounting Team. You will be a critical player in our operations by executing large-scale projects that define the bottom-line for the company.
A typical day might include the following
Ensuring continuity of supply and participating in escalation meetings with suppliers for parts shortages to develop recovery plans.
Managing inventory levels, schedules, and availability of items, manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules, product forecasts, and revenue targets
Proactively providing updates to management and engineering teams on all critical supply issues
Realizing cost savings and meeting supply base management goals
Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships
Following up with suppliers to meet committed delivery dates and ensuring timely delivery.
Providing regular feedback to suppliers to improve long term and short term performance
Analyzing procurement data and report metrics
Supporting and managing capital equipment, IT, and other purchase requirements as needed
Evaluating and selecting the best value supplier
Issuing purchase orders, change orders, and resolving invoicing issues
Maintaining accurate data in the ERP system to ensure appropriate planning for materials
Analyzing the predicted impact of the new supplier/product launches, product promotions, or discontinuations.
Establishing, maintaining, reporting, and analyzing trends for variability, inventory, and back order.
Coordinating with the fulfillment team to establish priorities for specific customer orders.
Managing Contract Manufacturers and ensuring on time delivery

Qualified candidates must have
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience
Experience with ERP / MRP Systems
Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
Experience with forecasting, budgets, return on investments preferred
Experience with PCB, PCBAs, Aluminum, Plastics, Cables and packaging preferred
Strong technical knowledge and skills in current technologies and applications preferred
Authorized to work in the US
Planning background preferred
