What will I be doing?

You will be supporting Engineering, Facilities, and Manufacturing with materials procurement needs and assisting in clarifying issues with the Accounting Team. You will be a critical player in our operations by executing large-scale projects that define the bottom-line for the company.

A typical day might include the following

• Ensuring continuity of supply and participating in escalation meetings with suppliers for parts shortages to develop recovery plans.

• Managing inventory levels, schedules, and availability of items, manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules, product forecasts, and revenue targets

• Proactively providing updates to management and engineering teams on all critical supply issues

• Realizing cost savings and meeting supply base management goals

• Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships

• Following up with suppliers to meet committed delivery dates and ensuring timely delivery.

• Providing regular feedback to suppliers to improve long term and short term performance

• Analyzing procurement data and report metrics

• Supporting and managing capital equipment, IT, and other purchase requirements as needed

• Evaluating and selecting the best value supplier

• Issuing purchase orders, change orders, and resolving invoicing issues

• Maintaining accurate data in the ERP system to ensure appropriate planning for materials

• Analyzing the predicted impact of the new supplier/product launches, product promotions, or discontinuations.

• Establishing, maintaining, reporting, and analyzing trends for variability, inventory, and back order.

• Coordinating with the fulfillment team to establish priorities for specific customer orders.

• Managing Contract Manufacturers and ensuring on time delivery

• Other duties as assigned

Qualified candidates must have

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline or equivalent experience

• Minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience

• Experience with ERP / MRP Systems

• Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills

• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills

• Experience with forecasting, budgets, return on investments preferred

• Experience with PCB, PCBAs, Aluminum, Plastics, Cables and packaging preferred

• Strong technical knowledge and skills in current technologies and applications preferred

• Authorized to work in the US

• Planning background preferred
